Binance hacked-7000 BTC was stolen.

In the evening, celebrity crypto exchange Binance hacked. According to the stock exchange, 7000 BTC was stolen from the stock exchange. Description as follows:

Tik We detected a large-scale security breach on May 7, 2019 at 17:15:24. Hackers have seized large amounts of user API keys, 2FA passwords, and some other possible information. Hackers used a number of techniques, including phishing, viruses, and other forms of attack. We're still investigating other possible methods. We are also trying to identify other accounts that may be affected.

The hackers took 7000 BTC in a single transaction.

The above operation is the only process affected. The event only affected our BTC hot wallet (2% of the total BTC in the stock market). All other wallets were safe and unharmed.

It seems the hackers are quite patient to wait. And at the most convenient time, apparently many independent accounts have performed this action in a well organized manner. The process is structured to exceed our existing security controls. And we couldn't stop this process before it happened. As a result of the operation, various alarms in our system have been triggered. All shooting operations were then stopped immediately.

Binance will use #SAFU funds to completely close this event. No user funds will be affected.

We need to review our entire security system. These controls include all units and data of our system. Which is quite wide. We estimate this will take about 1 week. We will post updates at frequent intervals while our transactions are in progress.

Most importantly, deposits and withdrawals must be suspended during this period of time. We ask for your understanding of this difficult situation.

In the meantime, we can continue trading. So you can adjust your position if you wish. Please try to understand that hackers can still control some user accounts and try to influence prices. We will follow the situation closely. But we believe that with the blocking of the shooting, there is no incentive for hackers to influence the market.
